Should Mylot Have A Voice Chat Button? / myLot

I am now busy making a writing post in Vietnamese language and I am checking some of other Mylot posts. And I wished Mylot had a button for voice recording and it will be better in this situation, I can be using the headset with the small microphone on. Do you guys think that Mylot should have this function?

If you use mylot on your smartphone, you can use the voice recognition to post. I've done it before. It's not part of mylot though... it's part of your smartphone. Also mylot is not mobile friendly so it's a little difficult.

I think owlwing is right in this, but may be there is a day my lot will develop more I think. My smartphone have that but I don't think my lot will support sending voice

Voice recognition is a difficult technology (though it has improved remarkably in the last few years) and requires that you speak clearly and in an accent which it can recognise, otherwise it tends to write rubbish. With so many people from all over the world speaking English with so many different accents, I'm sure that it would be more of a hindrance and a cause for confusion than it would be a help. I have occasionally tried using voice recognition software to write and, even though my native language is English and I speak clearly and with good enunciation, it so often 'mishears' me that I have found it quicker and more efficient to type.

@owlwings it's like Whatsapp they have a voice recording button, and just record the voice of us and send that message to you (for example) I think you misunderstand me again that the voice function will not be a bot for talking in its voice, but its my own voice message send to you. I love typing also. I learn to type English from games

@anh101 MyLot is a small company with limited resources and has limited space on its server and limited bandwidth. I think that both would preclude the use of voice messaging. If you wanted to leave a voice message, it would be possible to use a service such as SoundCloud and to post a URL to the message but I don't think that it would fit very well with the way the site is designed to work.

I was try to do a post by talking to my phone . My phone wrote a different story . This would be the problem with voice everybody voice sound different.
