So I kind of want to avoid the whole prescription medication for anxiety/depression. I've been doing a lot of searching online and found some things that people swear has worked for them and changed their life.
One was magnesium, St-John's Wort, 5-Htp and Valerian Root? I believe these are the few I read about.
The one that caught my eye the most with the symptoms (which sounds like I have them and perhaps need some of this in my life) is Magnesium. It sounds like a miracle pill/oil, etc.
Has anyone ever tried any of these?

I had a breakdown few years ago, Anxiety/depression I was on meds but they weren't working, My doctor asked me which I wanted to do. I could go onto stronger and more powerful medication, than the ones I was already taking or go on a CBT course. I decided I didn't want any more meds and decided on the course. It seemed to work but other things also changed in my life so it could have been both. The course looks at breaking the depression cycle. It's interesting, see the link, not sure if you've heard of it before or you could get help with CBT where you are. All the best.
WebMD explains why cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) might be used to treat depression, how this approach works, and what to expect in sessions.

@x0MandyLynn0x Maybe you come look it up online, or maybe there is sessions online. I hope you can or could get to a session, the course I did lasted 6 weeks of 2 hours each.

I heard about CBT before! And how many people it has helped. But unfortunately where I'am from ..in this small town. There is no where I could go for that. Plus I also do not drive. So it's hard to get around anywhere. But I've read about that therapy before. It would really be nice to go to sessions of CBT if I had a way..

Apparently it's supposed to be good for that. But I think I really want to get into using magnesium. Because apparently many of us are lacking having enough of that in our system. Which is why we have stuff like, muscle cramps, anxiety, sleeping problems, headaches, etc.

@x0MandyLynn0x I think my husband read that too. Then he was handing me a banana to eat every day.
Health Canada has a booklet that lists the nutrition of many foods. I have the booklet but it is also online.

Its good that your going all natural with your dealing with depression /anxiety. Sometimes I want to try those pills already but I'm scared of the side effects.

Side effects can be scary. That's why I'd rather go the natural root. Because least this way, even if there was some (which most likey there wouldn't be) it wouldn't be as 'hard on you' as it is if you take prescribed.
