When I moved to a new City, It is hard for me to acquire a connection from PLDT which is the best ISP provider in the Phillippines at this moment. So I decided to go for Smartbro. A cheap pocketwifi that promises high internet connection for only 20 US dollars a month... Well their service is Garbage, My account is being disarranged a lot of times. If your account gets disarranged, You can't access any website. You are stuck with the log in screen of their settings. I uploaded a screenshot of my browser being stuck with their settings page when the website I am trying to reach is Youtube. They kept on redirecting me to that annoying settings page. Once I got my connection back, I am given the speed of a turtle. Heck I can't download a 50 MB anti-virus because their connection is slow. One more thing, their commercial is annoying with these two annoying dumb jock stereotypes. (I purchase mine before the annoying commercial existed)

My boss also always complained about her smartbro pocket wifi before . But since terminating her account would mean payment of more than 15k pesos , she just waited until the contract ended and terminated it instead . Gosh , Bayantel also sucks . We had it disconnected at home . We are waiting for telstra .

@SIMPLYD Their service just got worst, they removed unlisuf and replace it with surf max. Surf max is similar to unlisurf but it has data capping. You only have 800 MB data a day that can give you a fast internet connection but once the 800 MB data is gone, You will have extremely slow connection. Other countries have no data capping. Yeah Tesltra should come here!

I wonder if Sky broadband is good. PLDT is the best but they also have flaws and I hate the slow process of application there. I wonder what is the best alternative to PLDT.

Smarbro was my first ISP and it gave me a lot of problems so I hated it and gave it up.

@CaptAlbertWhisker It will depend on your location. You have to ask people in your place who are using Globe about its performance first.. I am using Globe Tattoo now and so far so good.

I will try to endure it 1 more month and I am moving to a different ISP. I heard a lot of good things about Globe but I am not sure.

I live on a city though, Cities are suppose to have better connections. There is even a smart tower in my area. They have no excuse for this rubbish connection of theirs. I wish I had bought Globe instead. I am about to buy Globe but the sales lady lured me with Free 100 peso load. This is what I get for being a cheapskate.

People never gives anything free to others. If they offer some thing for less money, quality is never being the same.

From what I know, India have faster internet than the Philippines, The only negative is the censorship. The bad service is very frustrating though. I hope I will be able to afford a better service soon.

it depends on the location. Have you ever asked whether your place has strong connection for smart network?

I live in the 8th floor of a condo, I should be getting a quality signal. Their facebook page is flooded by complaints. PS I want to murder their commercial models with a chainsaw.... Their commercial is so annoying. They act like dbags.

@trivia79 I heard that the over priced slow internet connection we are having is actually over priced. Imagine a 1st world country with higher cost of living than us have cheaper internet connection than ours and it is high speed. How much is the monthly cost of Internet in California?

@CaptAlbertWhisker I don't know. I'm not living in the California. I'm here in the Philippines.
