Gallery frustration

While I am very thankful that a gallery has shown interest in my art, I find it frustrating that the pieces I favor they do not. I love to paint and draw more than other mediums but have been asked to bring more jewelry and fairy houses. The jewelry sells fast but involves very little talant. The fairy houses involve a lot of creativity but simply are not something I can pop out on demand. I would really like to push my canvas art more but there seems to be little interest in it. How do you find a self gratifying middle?
