Recently I saw a cookery competition show in Television in a local channel. In that the majority of competitors were men. At my home we all cook and I enjoy cooking even though I not a good cook. But mostly my mother does not like anybody helping her, as she wants to cook it all alone by herself. But due to old age and health my sister and I do help her and also do cooking. There was time I mostly see only women doing cooking in kitchen, but it seems now men too enter in kitchen. Even if I go out in hotels, restaurants other street food corners I mostly see majority of men are cooks and chefs. May be the real side is the passion. If one’s passion on cooking I feel the way that finds enjoyment through this and could give a better output. Anyhow we all love to have tasty food who ever make it….provided it should be in a hygienic way and not harmful to our health.

@SHAMRACK,I agree with you.The situation has begun changing. My elder brother used to cook much tastier veg dishes than the most efficient cook in our town, but he was a businessman.Cooking was his hobby.Despite this it was his wife- my sister in law- who used to cook for him.

@SHAMRACK Still they expect their wives to cook for them, don't they. And wives do cooking as if they are born to cook for their husbands.

i think cooking is for every man whatever is the gender. i've seen great male chefs and great female chefs too. But traditionally the kitchen at home is the mother's domain because the father is actually busy working for their living.
