Do You Cure Yourself? How?

I wasn’t around for a couple of days because I went down with what seemed like a combination of the flu and colds. I had to stay on my bed. I actually tried to cure my flu by taking some over-the-counter medicine for headache and body pain. Aside from the medicine, I followed my mom’s advice to use or take home or natural remedies. Thus, I do self-medication. For illnesses like the flu. I self-medicate. However, my mother told me that I should kick the habit of taking common drugs when I have a headache, body pain or cough and colds. She also said that if I decide to take medicine, it should still have to be prescribed by the doctor. I guess my mother is so concerned about me. All I know, I just wanted to recuperate fast. But, I guess I pulled around quicker because of the natural remedies. I had plenty of water, hot lemon tea and chicken soup. This combination usually doesn’t fail to make me feel better. Now, I am back on my feet again.

I also do a self medication. Whenever a cold or flu hit me, like you, I drink plenty of water and hot tea and eat vitamin-c enriched fruits. :)

@wiLLmaH We are also in the same way of having conventional treatment for colds and flu. I guess some of us would agree that having vitamin C can combat the possibility of being sick. That's the will of keeping healthy.
