Buying a house in Greedytown, USA

I'm two months into the process of surrendering both an arm and a leg to buy a house in America. I was looking at old ads when houses were as affordable to buying a used car, now the final payment on a house after 30 years would have purchased a small Mccastle. Homes are way to expensive to own, for crying out loud! What happened to the days a man and few of his buddies could get together, cut down a few trees and just build one? No wonder adult kids can't afford to move out of their parent's home.

Since the population has rose it is difficult to afford the space for so many people and day by day it causing trouble to nature as well. Coming to topic due to apartment and fast life earning a good home is trouble some unless you have some high paying job. The scenario is same all over the world.

Houses are really expensive in the UK too. It's really hard for the young people to afford one.

We sold our place a few years back to move into an apartment. Rent is expensive but does all the repairs and upkeep and there are no taxes. It was a good move for us.
