Ice Fishing

If you are thinking of going ice fishing we are being advised caution before venturing out on area lakes to fish. With the late freeze-over, many lakes are not completely freezing over which has means ice levels are not nearly as thick as in previous years. There has even been a repors of a fishhouse falling through the ice despite the sub-zero weather. Remember that no ice is ever 100 percent safe. Anyone hoping to ice fish should be aware of the ice conditions before going out on the ice.

Okay then I wont go today, I was going to lolz Yes ice on lakes is never always safe. I am sure one has to been doing it for years to have a better idea what is safe and what is not.

We see shanties and vehicles on the ponds and lakes and we shake our head over their stupidity. Risking life and limb to catch a fish is just plain dumb.

I would never ice fish because of the chances the ice not being fully frozen. I have a friend that's going tomorrow and i hope he changes his mind since the temps will be warmer and i don't think the lake will be fully frozen.

@Blondie2222 Let's hope your friend either changes his mind or the ice is completely frozen over as I would hate to think of someone falling through the ice.

Well there are 2 good reasons why I won't do it. I don't like eating fish or capturing fish in general and we don't have ice like that here lol So no worries.
