Regression hurts us all!

Our nation is regressing in the hate-and-fear atmosphere! Last weekend, I was trying to meet with a bunch of people for a product-launch party for Bananawave banana milk, and I could see the location, but construction roadblocks were in the way of getting there. I stopped in at a convenience store to ask directions. The man behind the couter asked if I didn't know this was a black neighborhood, where I didn't belong, although there were other white people in the stor. I asked if he could just give me directions, and he said he'd give me the best direction I'd ever get --- "Get the Hell out!"! I really thought we'd gotten past all that, but it is far beyond sad that such things are going on in 2016. I thanked him for being helpful, and left, but I would have liked to do more. What would you have doine in the face of such ugly racism?

Don't know, I usually think of my best responses after the fact.
Racism works both ways though, and anybody who says blacks can't be racist are wrong.
