Tanning bed disaster

Does anyone tan around here? I realize this is a very American fad – I do it only occasionally – and yes, I know it’s bad for your skin. I had a horrible experience the other day so I am thinking about refraining from doing it again any time soon after this fiasco.
I accidentally bought what is called a “tingle” tanning lotion – I learned via Google – it apparently makes your skin literally “tingle” – you feel hot all over – and it’s supposed to accelerate your tan. I didn’t realize this was the case (Note to everyone: always read labels) – until I got out of the tanning bed and I felt this awful burning sensation all over my body; to the point of pain. I was sweating profusely and I looked in the mirror and I was completely RED all over. It wasn’t from the 4 minutes in the tanning booth, either.
Have you ever had an awful tanning experience?
Or have you tried this “tingle” tanning lotion?

I think one should read reviews and learn from others' experience before buying an unknown product. Hope you are ok now.

I have never been to a tanning bed. I have heard bad stories that can happen. I just lay out a little on my back deck if I want a little sun.

No, I haven't. I have never used a tanning bed. I think they are unsafe. I might try it just once though...see how much of a tan I could get in one day.

I am from a country where people are born with perfectly tan skin but for some reason they prefer to have the Milky white pale complexion so they either take glutathione pills, bleach their skin or bathe in papaya soap. (Papaya can make the skin pale)
I think Sunbathing under the sun from 7 to 9 Am in the morning is the best natural way to get a Tan.Tanning beds are cancerous.
