When I lived in NYC, I got to eat Uni, sea urchin. The server said I was brave and that it was a delicacy. Now, I won't eat it again, once was enough for me to try. However, I know a lot of people have tried various different foods. I am curious as to what your most unique food was that you have eaten and where.

@Aingeal they are made from scratch with dumpling dough and potatoes then you put sausage hamburger and bacon as the center boil for 20 25 minutes then make gravy with the drippings from the meat yum

I have to ask, what are Cripple Crockers? I usually make all my food from scratch.

@softbabe44 That does sound yummy. I will have to try it. Thank you for how to make it. I won’t use the pork products, will have to find some replacement. Do you precook the meat before you boil it or let it steam in the boil?

Ick. I hate uni, and I live in Japan. I guess most Japanese foods I like are considered unusual in the US. I like octopus, boiled, on sushi rice or dipped in mayonnaise. I like the little ones with tentacles, and squid rings from large squid. I also like cold buckwheat noodles.

That is why I will only eat Uni once. It was enough to try it. I am not much of an octopus fan, though I have tried it. I do like squid when it was prepared correctly. I have never eaten buckwheat noodles. May have to try it. I love things like snake and gator so I eat weird things too. Thanks for the comment.

@petatonicsca I love eel. I would get live ones in China town and then freak out my roomie on how I prepared it. She hated it. However eel is right up there. It is so good.
