Have you been Poisoned by Mercury??

I read an article by Dr Al Sears, who was poisoned by mercury when he was eating a dish with tuna. We should really avoid some fish. I am happy that there still is some edible fish. I was poisoned by mercury from my Amalgam fillings. And I am grateful that I learned about it in the 1980s - In the spring of 1981 I lived in northern Sweden and started to look awful - my face was completely swollen, it looked like a football.. It was birch pollen allergy. Some years later I learned that it is important to remove the amalgam fillings, and I found a dentist who helped me. It was important to change the fillings slowly. Only one in a month. In 1989 I was almost free from the allergy and the amalgam fillings. The dentist told me that small amounts of alcohol would help to remove the mercury. There are other ways to clean the body from mercury, so why not read the article by Dr Al Sears how to do it.
Al Sears, MD 11905 Southern Blvd. Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411 Dear Reader, One evening, I was sitting at a sushi bar in Los Angeles. I'd just finished one of my favorite dishes — spicy tuna roll — when I began to feel dizzy. I was so dizzy, I couldn't even

Now that's an interesting theory. My fibromyalgia symptoms flared up considerably a few months after I had a new filling done. I also had an extremely strong reaction to a copper IUD after my first daughter was born. I have an appointment coming up soon. Guess I'll have to make sure to add that to my list of things to ask about!

@yukimori - I hope you find a way and get help. Some doctors know a great deal - the thing is to find one - There is a lot of info on the Internet. Take care..

@buenavida I'd imagine that there should be some sort of test that can identify problematic quantities of it, though. I guess that requires the amount to be substantial... might not be reflected accurately, since I'm apparently stupidly sensitive to certain things. I even have to be careful what generic medications I get from the pharmacy since they can affect me so differently.

I have amalgam fillings done decades ago. That was common at that time. So far no issues so I would rather leave it at that - siva

Sounds good - I hope you will not get problems.. It could be helpful to not chew many acidic foods.. If you get problems, you could talk with a skilled dentist. All the best...

@buenavida Thanks I am 66 years old, so I would rather not tamper with what is left of my teeth as I am having trouble even holding on to them! siva

I also have most of my amalgam fillings out of my mouth. I wasn't as bad as you, but while I was having them removed, I reacted to the anesthetic the dentist gave me. I had been having trouble with it before, but during the time, I had some fish and had a worse reaction. I didn't eat any fish after that until the job was done. He also changed what he was giving me for the pain.

This is interesting, and we learn a lot from each other. I hope we can keep healthier after getting rid of the mercury in our teeth. It can be good to eat healthy food, as our body needs help to get rid of this poisonous thing. It can take a lot of time to get cleaned up from it. I take salmon oil from fish from the Norwegian coast. Gnld.com who makes the capsules, is very carefully checking the fish, so that it is free from pollution. We can need Omega3 from clean waters..

I had a friend experience mercury poisoning, too, when she went on what she thought was a "healthy" diet by eating lots and lots of fish. She started to lose her hair and had other problems. It was terrible for her.

@buenavida - She was treated by her doctor and was not allowed to eat fish for six months. Now she is only supposed to eat it twice a week.

I was poisoned once but not of mercury I guess because the fish was not fresh.

I can understand that as the fish should be kept cold to stay fresh.. I like fish but try to avoid the more risky ones.

I haven't heard that the filling of dentist used before is hazardous to our health. I am lucky that I didn't get poison out from it. I think the modern filling is well-developed than during the old days.

I hope so, but I think the "silver fillings" actually still have amalgam, with mercury. Better do research what they use in your country.
