Do you still remember the names you gave to your toys being a child?

We used to give a name to almost every toy we had. I remember a crying baby doll that I called Tatiana, a green spongy bear named Plumiticas, my favorite one, a purple haired doll whose name was Veronica. She came dressed in a green mermaid custom that I loved, and a cowgirl barbie whose name was Erika. I wish I had one of them with me... Do you remember those special names for those loved toys?

I never named my toys. The toys came with a name or they didn't get a name.

@Gloriange - I remember when Cabbage Patch dolls were all the rage. They came with a name and a birth certificate. I never got one of those dolls and none of my kids ever wanted one.
The ’80s icons are back, with ties to a contemporary children's brand

My bear Plumiticas came with that name. It sounded very funny and lovable to me. I still miss him.

Yes, I still remember most of the names of my dolls from when I was little, too. My favorite was a doll named George Leon. He was named after two of my uncles. I also had a Lisa and Kimberly I played with a lot.

It's weird because I actually don't...I'm trying to think. And I'm having a mind blank going on here!

@x0MandyLynn0x it's funny how we remember some things and completely forget others!

I had very down-to-earth names for my soft toys. There was a Mummy Panda (a nightdress case), a Daddy Panda (a rather tightly stuffed and hard panda bear toy) and a Baby Panda (who was smaller, of course). I think there were families of other animals, too, but I don't remember them so well, so they may have been somewhat contrived. My main and most favourite toy, however, was just 'Donkey'. I think that it may have been created as a racehorse because when it arrived it had a peculiarly satiny, shiny doll affixed to its back which was soon removed and known disparagingly as 'Rider'. I do remember hating this jockey with some venom and that, much later when I was allowed to use matches, I ceremonially cremated this hated being in a model building made of cardboard boxes stuffed with newspaper and with windows cut in the boxes for realism.

I didn't give name to the toys I had when I was a child. My parents didn't like to buy us toys. I remember I only had a doll when I was very young, and I didn't give her a name. I wonder where the doll went. Now that I see my children giving their toys names, I think that's cute and funny. We seem to like a big family staying together, as those dolls are part of us.

All my giraffes are "Tree" and I had a horse named Ocean Spray. I had a cat named Shelley, named her after my best friend at the time. Don't really remember other names. I do remember most of my Breyer model horses' names...
