Just Saying.... because so important to me.

I laid in bed this morning a little longer than usual and found myself just communicating with the Lord and discussing things in a very casual way. Not out of need or want, not out of desperation, but just enjoying a close relationship with Him, my soul-mate, Lover of my soul; who never leaves or forsakes me, and has me engraved in the palm of His hands. What a joy to feel His presence so early in the morning, taking time to just be with Him before the cares of the day move in. I never want to be in such a hurry that I can't enjoy Him; my strength, my shield, my joy, my peace; my all in all. I wonder how often prayers are hindered for lack of relationships with Him; while we kneel in prayer, offer up our needs or requests, and then end our prayer before allowing Him time to communicate with us; thinking our prayer has been completed. Do we not understand God longs for a close relationship with us; to talk with us, as well as listen to us, as we unload our burdens(even tho He already knows them before we ask) and that He wants to assure us, to comfort us, to give us peace that He is right there with us, working within us; as we wait upon Him to perform the work necessary to meet those needs for our good. Maybe I'm the only one who has ever experienced this, but have you ever gone to God in prayer and when you finished praying, you felt as if nothing had changed and that something else needed to be said, that you just wasn't finished yet? Could it be, you felt that way because you didn't leave time for Him to talk to you and give you the peace you needed, as you wait upon Him to perform whatever is necessary to answer your needs. I certainly have felt that way in the past, but thank God, perseverance drove me to realize that, although I was praying to God in earnest about my needs, I really wasn't taking time to listen to Him. There was no open communication, no close relationship. Why do we cheat ourselves and deny ourselves the privilege of forming a close relationship with Him- What is life without God in it? Just, think about it for a few minutes. Relationships are built on communication, not just one person talking, but really taking time to listen to one another. So, if true communication forms close relationships, what kind of relationship do you really want in your life with God? A closed relationship with you doing all the talking in prayer, or a close relationship where you go to God in prayer and He meets you there? Why not take time to form that close relationship with Him, your Heavenly Father, who desires a close relationship with you, His loving child, that He loves so unconditionally! While you think on these things, enjoy this day He created for you and Be Blessed, dear friends. God loves you and so do I.

Rebel woman, this is all God asks from us.. just acknowledge Him and tell Him we love Him and praise Him. I heard Charles Stanley on TV this weekend, and he said sometimes, just saying "Jesus Help Me" is enough. And another pastor said, just repeating the Lord's Prayer from the Bible,God also acknowledges. Love you my wonderful Christian sister.

Thanks for the prayer. I pray before bedtime and when I wake up, thanking Him for a new day and for all the blessings He gives to our family.
