The ID channel (Investigation Discovery), is an excellent channel to watch about all kinds of crime. Vanity Fair Magazine's investigator Clara Bingham, did one last night that absolutely shocked me. I realize that behavior towards women in the military was bad, but not this bad. Just in the years of 2012-2014, 6,000 rapes were committed and that doesn't count the physical beating some of those women received for reporting those rapes. So you can imagine what it's been like since women started entering the military. I'm sure those rapes were 'never' reported. The ones that happened in the time-frame above, the reports that the women filled out were never turned in and a lot of the women were sent to psych wards because they were 'supposedly' delusional. Not only were NO charges ever brought against any of these men but when Miss Bingham tried to talk to the DOD and the Air Force, interviews were refused. This report focused on the USAF Goodfellow Base in San Antonio. I am absolutely appalled at the behavior of these men and the reluctance of the USAF to address the issue. At 23 I was going to enter the military (Marines) as a DI (Drill Instructor). I'm glad now that I didn't because I'm sure these kind of incidences are and were, not just happening in the USAF.This is truly The Ultimate Shame.
