Sharing a room with other individuals is definetely unforgettable experience during the day’s in college. You will meet different backgrounds, habits and regional accents come together to live under the same roof for four to five years. It is uncommon for us to agree on things. In some occasions, we had bitter arguments as well. In reality, it is normal way to learn how to get along with people. Though, I graduated from my university several years ago and my ex-roommates live far distance, we have lost contact. We never had the chance to exchange phone numbers, since mobile phone is not that popular during that time. At this point, I am trying to search them through facebook. I hope I could still get in touch with tem. What do you think about having a roommate? Is it beneficial?

I share with my house with a roommate, actually he is my tenant, it is OK. It gives me someone to talk to. I prefer it to being alone, but I would rather have a mate here.

@snowy22315 It was nice to have someone to talk with. It could also build a good friendship.

@softbabe44 I agree. I am not closing my options that there will be some instances that the personality between two persons are not matching up. Then, it is about time to move out and find peace.

They can but I don't think it often works out that way..with mine I tolerate him, he is a nice enough person...but crude and depressed...and negative..I dont like that

@cherigucchi I know what it feels. That is what I felt at first. Eventually, I learned to understand the difference of other people. In some way, I can learn something as being acquainted with my roommate.

Having roommates is great. They are not just roommates, they are also best friends. We share almost everything with each other. and we still get in touch with each other. Chinses New Year is coming. I think we 'll meet each other soon.

@Serena_1 I do think that in your country it is common to share rooms especially in school dormitory. I had once wished to stay in a school dormitory. I never tried but an office mate granted my wish to stay with him.
