I'm Challenging Myself

I am enjoying my own challenge. It has given me something to write about every day, not that I don’t have other things to write about. But, what I’m enjoying the most is REMEMBERING old movies, old songs and other things that I haven’t thought about for a long time. In fact, I’m going to go on NetFlix and see if I can find some of these old movies. I’d like to see them again. On some days I will mention movies and old songs. My favorite animal that starts with the letter B: Buffalo. The sad history of the buffalo is something to consider. When we were in South Dakota, we visited the Black Hills and Custer State Park and got to see the buffalo up close and personal. To think that, they were almost completely destroyed, before someone had the good sense to stop the slaughter. Incredible!! My favorite color: Blue. I especially like TEAL Blue. I wear it a lot. I probably have a dozen teal blue blouses or jackets and lots of ear rings to match. My favorite vegetable: I’ll tell you one thing. It’s NOT beets. I do not like beets at all. My daughter loves them and my husband too, but not me. So…Brussel Sprouts will be my choice. I eat them twice a week. I especially like to steam them and then put Italian dressing on them. Yum! My favorite novel: Hmmm. I’ll have to think about that one. Oh, I know. “Beauty” The book on which the movie, “Beauty and the Beast” was based. My favorite FAMOUS person: Let’s see. I always liked Bob Hope. It's FUN to challenge yourself. Just start with the letter A and go through the alphabet, naming what ever favorites you can think of that start with each letter. It gives you something to write about every day for at least 26 days.

It gives you something to write about every day and helps others on MyLot learn a little more about you and what you like. AND it's FUN!!!

@Missmwngi Yes, you are right about that. I am enjoying it very much. I am writing each letter challenge in Microsoft Word and saving it in my documents, so that I can copy and paste it to MyLot, but still keep it for my journal for my grandchildren. I'm doing that with my Childhood Memories also and several other articles that I have shared on MyLot. So, writing on this site has allowed me to do both projects at the same time.

@IreneVincent This can also help one reflect about him/herself in a big way paying details to things about oneself

That is interesting and I may just try a random letter of the alaphabet and see what I can come up with.

Yes, and you can save what you write for MyLot and make a journal for your children or grandchildren to read later on. That's what I am doing.

@IreneVincent I have been saving what I write on Ms Word.....for later use or evaluation....Never thought of making a journal. I am still unmarried and in my twenties...Think I have time for that..
