On this day in 1986 the Challenger space shuttle blew up. I remember this day. I was a child and my mother had us at the dentist office. My sister was in the back and me and my other siblings were up front waiting our turn with my mother. The receptionist had a radio on and when the news interrupted to day the space shuttle had exploded, the receptionist jumped up and told my mother that they had a small tv in the back. We all went to the back in the break room and watched the news. After the dentist finished up with my sister,he joined us in the back. I was young and did not really understand the tragedy, but I knew that it was very important. Do you remember where you were when the space shuttle exploded? I am sure some of you here were too young or maybe not even alive yet!
