"I am calling to be disqualified"

Sunday is the deadline to enroll for coverage for 2016. If you aren't sure what I am talking about, I am talking about ObamaCare. I have never qualified for it and nor can I get medicare or medicaid or whatever they call it. I couldn't log in to the account so I decided to call instead. They took me through the process and gave me my disqualification number. The lady was very friendly and tried to get me qualified but I told her that I never qualify, my circumstances have not changed. I also told her that I don't really like to go to the doctor's and so it doesn't really matter to me. Anyway another year done, and a few minutes wasted. I am just waiting (and hoping) that ObamaDon'tCare will be gotten rid of with the new presidency.

If you get disqualified, will you be exempt from the penalty in taxes though?

Yes, they give me a number each year that I put on my taxes for disqualification purposes.

@infatuatedbby You are welcome. I've been told that this year will be an exorbitant amount to pay if you don't have an exemption number or don't have healthcare.

I also tried to log in and nothing. Like you I am exempt because I cannot afford it and I am to rich to get free. I still have to call :(

I hope so too. It's the worst healthcare system we've ever had. It certainly doesn't benefit us lowly people.

We need something that will work for EVERYONE. Not just "some" of us!

@just4him I know even they have their own hiccups but I agree, we need something to change and drastically as well as permanently. This obamacare feels more like a dictator move!

I don't qualify for it either. It's too expensive for me to get and I don't qualify for medicaid either.
