Hello Lotters, Just to let you know that this major electric problem had been solved and It was really urgent that the electrician really did came to the house today. I learned that due to being rusty and old, the joints could cause some short-circuit burn among the screwed joints on the fuse. What happened to the fuse box today could have led to the worst house fire unimaginable if the electrician didn't found a way to fix it. There's only a few houses in the neighborhood that still has this kind of fuse box. Most are using circuit breakers now, which we should have done a long time ago.

I think what happened is the fuse clamps have become thin, soft and limp so it cannot hold the fuse like it use to, the loose connection would cause it to heat up. It won't cause a fire so long as the fuse trips on time cause electricity would be cut. Did you buy a new one already friend? If you are really saving, it's also nice to look in the junkyard or second hand stores, I know some people are thinking it's not safe but sometimes the original, branded older ones are better than the brand new crap coming out. There are still good seconds out there cause some just changed to circuit breakers even if their fuse boxes are fairly new that is if you know how to look. Good luck and keep us posted.

I don't think so, those fuse were dangerous and the electrician had a hard time finding the right nuts and bolts to rewired the connector to the fuse. I still think circuit breakers are worth the shot. but i won't consider buying second hand ones, were dealing with electricity and am not gifted with checking better brands.

better to use circuit breaker my friend. it contains fire in one area only, and the light are put off in other areas of the house.
