Being A Writer

I've written stories since my school days and over the years I have developed my own style. The more one writes, the better they become and while I still have doubts about mine, I am pleased when someone says something positive. I don't see myself as the greatest writer in the world but it is something I enjoy and I am fairly good at it.
Every writer has their own method on writing a story. Some write an outline with characters and plot. Others prefer using note cards. I'm a strictly a "keep it in my head" type of writer. I always have a plot or two swirling around in my brain!
I write for myself first, thinking in terms of what I want to read.
I have stories that never found their ending, while some I've finished but never went anywhere with them. They are practice pieces that may stay hidden or may find their way into the public. It doesn't matter that some may never be published because writing is how one hones their craft. The more you write, the better you become.

@irishidid You're welcome. That's so true as well. Read in your genres.

I understand all of that great idea of making it your own.
