What is the best way to get referrals for your PTC site ?

Many people claimed that they know some ways of getting referrals to their PTC sites and encourage the visitors to sign up for their newsletter. I do understand that many of this so called newsletter or websites are useless and it is a waste of time. However, I still believing that there are really some ways to get more referrals everyday if you really know how. I have an excited experience two years ago from an article I have written a few years ago in yahoo. I wrote it and I didn't even care to look at it anymore. Until one day, I didn't where did all these people came from everywhere around the world to read my simple article and I was amaze about it. it turns out that I have more than 200, 000 people to visit that article for each month and I was successfully use this article to get many more than 350 referrals to my PTC site . Well, that's history and my article is gone because that yahoo network isn't exist anymore. However, I do taste the power of article marketing and earn some money from it as well. If you have good idea to get referrals to PTC site, share with me or us. I am sure that many people will be interested in this discussion as well.
