Travel Alone or Travel With Different People: Which is Which?

One of my passion is to travel, whenever I have the chance I grab my backpack and off to go. I used to travel alone than traveling with others. It is because I can save time and energy waiting for the others to prepare. In some point, I grab the opportunity to travel across the country to have a medical mission. The placement is too far from where I am right now. The lack of public transportation in that country is not accessible. Thus, I traveled by joining the people who owns a car. It may sounds dangerous but I don’t have the choice. However, there is one time that I rode a private car and it was broken at the middle of nowhere. The adrenaline rush makes me think of some options since I am a stranger in the country. As a volunteer, the protocol is to call the placement office of what had happened and advised to find other vehicle that can bring me to my placement. Safety is the main concern of the organization I am working with. At long last, I was able to choose another private care that happens to be the local police officer and dropped me in my final destination. Regardless, I still travel alone despite the uncertainty of the place. It is a part of volunteerism and do what it needs to do. What is your preferences, travel alone or with different people?

@trivia79 I guess it spices up my adventure during that time. However, the safety reason is really essential for me. I am a total strangers and we don't know what will happen next.

I agree with you -- I prefer to travel alone. I like to go where I like to to when I like to go. With a group you have to wait for others.

Long time ago I tried to travel alone to Beijing. I must say that I still like to travel with another so that at least someone can take photos for you. I like to travel with a good friend as so many people will have many disagreements and it is hard to arrange it. After I am married, I like to travel with my husband and son. If my husband doesn't have time, then my son and I will go to travel together.

@Shavkat If we didn't plan to go to my husband's hometown this year, it is likely we will go to St. Petersburg during Chinese New Year. We had been to Moscow the same time last year, but the time is not enough to explore it more.

@youless I like Russia. Because of this, I know how to speak Russian language. I hope I could also visit the country and speak their own language.

@youless That's sound sweet traveling with your son. I think the common destination of Chinese people in nearby countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, etc. For me, it would be better to travel around your country before having adventure in other countries.

@shshiju It was really an adventure. For some reason, I take it as a reward for myself. I do hope that you can have some adventure activities even if it a personal matter.

Wow. sound so awesome. I am so dying to travel around. but I never get a chance to do sort of thing like you do. just lacking of money and Being a student you know, I have no such full energy to do it . my first thing is to study but if I graduate from school I will try to do something I really want to do. plus:I would like to travel alone, because I can find what I really am in that so long trip. there is something I have to consider is travelling alone sometimes is so dangerous for a girl.

@LLSummer I also traveled in China before and worked in an American company. It is really fun to travel alone and nothing to worry. It is a whole new world for a traveler like me.

@LLSummer You can do it in your own country first. There are so many historical places in China. I do like to see some tourist attractions in the capital of your country.
