If you were going to play the game of “I SPY” sitting in your living room, what ten questions would you ask, that can only be answered by “yes” or “no?”
Have you ever played the game of “I SPY?” It’s a cute little game that kids especially like to play. The first player looks around the room carefully and chooses an item that he wants the other players to find by asking questions. The more obscure the item, the more difficult it will be to guess.
Each of the other players can ask only ten questions, taking turns. Such as, “Is it bigger than a bread box?” This was a common question on an old TV show, to establish the possible SIZE of the item.
Once the ten questions are asked, if the item has NOT been identified, the first player gets to identify the item and choose another item. If someone does guess the item, then it’s his turn to choose the next item.
Remember each question can only have a “yes” or “no” answer. For instance, you could NOT ask: What color is it?
What ten questions would you ask?
Some questions that I might ask, would be:
1. Can I hold it in my hand?
2. Is it made out of metal?
3. Does it have a particular odor?
What would you ask?
Have some fun with it, especially with the kiddos.
