Spend and redeem credit card promotion is one of the most popular ones. The credit card companies allow you to redeem various items when you charge different sum to your credit card. If you spend just a few hundred dollars, you probably redeem a travel kit. When you spend a few thousand dollars, you may have a chance to redeem a free stay in the resort in your homeland. The more you spend, the more attractive are the redemption gifts. That is why many people feel tempted to spend too much. They reason that they just have to spend a hundred dollars more to get the tablet or notebook free of charge.

I think you are right. I think people see the "free" and don't care how much it actually costs them.

@scheng1 They need to learn something for sure. I just can't wrap my head around what they must be thinking. I only need to spend $800 for a $50 tablet. Why would that appeal to someone?
