My Team is in the Super Bowl, and I Don't Even Have a Shirt!

I'm a little embarrassed. I'm so proud of the Carolina Panthers for reaching the Super Bowl. I rooted for them all the way, and now they have made it. I've been watching the local news hosting parties full of superfans decked out in full Panthers regalia, and I realized that I don't even have one measly piece of gear to wear--no shirt, hat, pants, towel, shoes, jacket, scarf, ring, necklace, bracelet, giant foam finger, nothing! And it's certainly too late to hit up eBay now, because naught will reach me in time to wear it proudly as I sit on my couch, watching the game. Oh, yeah. Nobody is going to see me sitting on my couch, watching the game. Ah well; I guess I'll get one of their Super Bowl Champions shirts afterward.

I am in the same boat as I have nothing Panther to wear tomorrow while I watch the game. But I will be rooting for them just the same.

Yeah, if only it weren't like $60-70 for a jersey, more people would be wearing gear, I'm sure!

@AliCanary Considering the jerseys only cost them about 75 cents to a dollar to make using child labor in Asian countries, you'd think they could lower the price.

Eh, I think you are OK without wearing a team shirt. Think of all those people that are going to be dressed up. Why conform? Lol. You can still root for your team in your pajamas or whatever!!

LOL, good point! I've always been kind of a non-conformist, anyway.

@silvermist -- welll, it was "good" until it became painfully apparent that my team was getting the poo beaten out of them, lol

I am so NOT into football. I only ever used to go to the games with my friends just to watch the half-time show. That would be the only reason I would watch the Super Bowl, IF I ever watched it. But to be honest, for as long as there has ever been a Super Bowl in American sports history, I have never watched not one single game or the half-time show. That fact should go in a Ripley's Believe or Not book.

LOL! I actually record it every year on the DVR, to watch ONLY the funny commercials and the half-time show.

Go Panthers!!!! I don't have anything either AliCanary . Geez, what were we thinking?! I am so proud of Cam Newton getting MVP of the year AND QB of the year. I just hope getting those 2 awards don't screw up his head and he messes up tonight.

@nanette64 - I can't either! I can't help wondering if the outcome would have been completely different of they had chosen to receive first.

California? No, I'm in North Carolina. Panthers are my home team. The SuperBowl was held in California, but they always do it some place that neither team is from.

Yes, it was very sad to see, but Cam is young and has plenty of time. Yes, it was good to see that Peyton did go out on a high note.

I was rooting for you guys. I'm a Raiders fan living in Colorado. I hate the Broncos.
