Do You Consider Yourself Living in an Earth House?

The most important thing for us is to have a shelter to live in. It is also a part of basic needs. What if the available house is to live underground. For instance, earth houses that are built underground. It is a good shelter to protect oneself from heavy rains and strong winds. The entrance and windows can be on its roof. For some people, they can build their houses at the side of the mountains. I am sure some of you would feel hesitant to live in an earth house. It is very simple to live in simplicity lifestyle. Would ypu consider living in this kind of shelter for your family?

A lot of my extended family from way back still live in these houses in Kentucky. I wrote an article about it on Bubblews, but they shut down.

@Shavkat The first time I visited them, i didn't see their houses, yet they were right in front of me. I you could see was poles protruding from a lot of hills. The front doors face the other way from the street.

I want to live in a type of house like that. Modern and mostly underground. Mine would still have one side exposed, but the rest would be built into the hill. It would be really economical in summer and winter with temperature control.
I have been deep into the earth in caves, and I know how they are rather cool in the summer, and can imagine how that would be much warmer in the winter.

@OneOfMary Indeed. It is really good to try this type of house. It is so economical and no need to have a lot of money to spend. Unless, you wanted to be luxurious way of design.

@Shavkat Well I figure I would have all sorts of things to make it look really nice to people that would be scared of being inside it.
