Business With No Start

This morning, I had received a message from my aunt. It is bad news that my cousin put up a computer shop but never been operated. I don’t know what’s going on with my cousin. I had wrote about this before that he doesn’t need some assistance from me. Basically, he failed to do all the needed requirements for establishing this small-scale business. My aunt had to ask for reinforcement. It has been three months that the shop never had the first step in progress. I can’t decline the plea of my aunt. So I decided to step forward and help my cousin to push through this business. In my own perception, the shop will not gain profits since the bills, rental and the like are not being paid. This is the most stressful situation to accomplish and best effort should be done.

@amnabas That's the big problem. The family members and I are trying to save his business. Actually, it is troublesome since we have our own lives too.

@yukimori I think he is starting to be out-of-mind lately. I guess he doesn't know the how to's. He is just embarrassed to ask for help. He is like my brother and wanted to save his family, too.

@Shavkat Why try to save it? If he's not interested in running it, maybe it would be best to consider the costs sunk and for him to find something he will enjoy better to pursue.

Looks like your cousin started the business without thinking things through. It will be tough for him as well as you if he does not step up his game.

It sounds like your cousin has no business sense. I hope you're able to help him get his business off the ground so he will start making some profits before he's forced to close.

That is sad that he didn't get the necessary steps in place before opening the store. Maybe you can help him turn things around some how.

@cintol That's the reason why we need to give assistance. Some of my relatives are suggesting to buyout him. In respect to him, we need to consider his opinion if it does happen.

Sounds like your cousin should have thought things through a little more before jumping into such a big task. I hope he can get it all sorted out soon.

The first few months of putting up a business are the most stressful of all. Lots of bills have to be paid but flow of income is still not enough to pay for everything. Some business men go into two or three other kinds of business to sustain their investments.

For some reason, we also need to conduct feasibility study prior to start up of business. That's the downside of my cousin. It is really stressful for him to put up and didn't anticipate the possibilities.

Was this his own idea to start a computer service bisiness or was he pushed to think about it and even forced to? It happens that some people when pushed beyond their desires they tend to do exactly that.... they want to make someone happy while their heartis far from there. They end up messing up. So if it is cool, try to know the root cause of da problem before moving ahead to assist...

@Shavkat Damn! He needs prayers then... Well, maybe his idea is hanging because someone said negative things about it and this affected his business drive. Some people easily let go of their dreams because of lack of support from close people. I guess if you really wanna see him back onhis feet then you better try to bring back the initial drive.... not easy but it can be done. Make him feel appreciated.

@waflay He was the one who have this idea. Out of the blue, he is acting strange. I am really not sure what's keeping him so unorganized.

@waflay We had done it my friend. He is still in denial. As his cousins, we are still trying to pull him up from escaping responsibilities.

Is it really the best course of action, though? If your cousin isn't doing what it takes to run the business, is he going to actually step up to the plate or will you be taking over it? I think you need to take the emotions out of the situation and ask yourself if a stranger came to you with this request, would you help them?
