I'm Looking Forward To...

We’re into a NEW year and I am just wondering what everyone is looking forward to this coming year?
Are you getting married? Are you graduating from college? Are you expecting a new baby? Have you planned a vacation for the summer months?
I have several things that I’m looking forward to…
I want to go to West Virginia to see a few cousins that still live there. It’s been about six years since I’ve gone HOME to West Virginia. I do consider West Virginia my home because I was born there and grew up and got married there.
Virginia is my home now though and it’s where almost all of my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren live. I don’t plan to move away from Virginia.
So, I’m looking forward to a few short trips right here in Virginia, to see some things I’ve already seen, but also to see some places I have NOT seen and there are quite a few.
My daughter and I had planned to go to Mount Vernon, George Washington’s home last year, but I had to deal with cataract surgery, so we postponed that trip. We are now planning it again for this summer. It involves a river boat ride up the Potomac River and then a tour of the home and I think we will have lunch on the boat and dinner when we arrive. I’m not sure exactly. I’m going to go online and check it out, well in advance.
I also want to visit some museums and old homes (plantations) right here in the Richmond, Petersburg area. And we are going to go to some shows at the new theater in Hopewell.
What are you looking forward to?

Staying alive is a good thing, no doubt. Every morning, I am thankful to wake up alive.

@marlina Staying alive is the MOST important thing of all, of course. Without life, nothing else can happen.

I just planted some tomatoes in a pot a few days ago. This afternoon when i checked on them i saw new sprouts. I'm so excited and 'm so looking forward to watching my them grow and bear some fruits. I also bought a pot of spearmint. Its my first time. I dont know if i will be successful in growing them

My middle brother has a greenhouse and he sent me an email yesterday, telling me all about his sprouts coming up. He really enjoys growing things.
