I don't think paper money is losing its value. Whether we are using digital currency (Bitcoins) or plastic money (Credit cards/Debit Cards), we are using paper money to fund our digital currency and plastic money. We are using online payment processor such as paypal. How does paypal get funded? Yes, via our bank or Credit/Debit card. How does our bank account or Credit/Debit cards are funded? By depositing real paper money in our bank account.

It seems that paper money is just to support each country's currency. The value depreciates but it is still widely used in some places.

It's so long since I actually put cash into my bank that I can't remember the last time I did it. The last non-electronic deposit I made was by cheque about a month ago. Otherwise, all the money going into my bank is sent electronically. I do draw cash out from an ATM but that is only for small day-to-day expenses. Nearly all the payments I make are by card or online or by direct debit. Very soon, cash will be something which only poor people use.

I guess so because they wouldn't be having an idea to have a digital currency than the ordinary.
