Can we ever attain Job Satisfaction ??????????

I often wonder when will I be Happy with my Job................
I had work for various employers for the last 6 years and I have had the pleasure of working with some very brilliant minds...... but one thing was common in all the people (Managers, Executives, Associates, Blue Collar Workers and so on) but I have never found a person satisfied with the work he is doing, be they were expert in their field, be their pay is more then enough, or the position they hold, I have always seen some or the other dissatisfaction in them.
I have seen companies spending ample amount of Time, Money and Manpower for various Reward & Recognition Programs, Employee Benefit, Compensation Planning, Training & Development etc to enhance work environment and satisfaction of the Employees.
But still one or the other way Dissatisfaction you can be observe.
Are you all satisfied form the Job you do (If you are an Employee/Self Employed) or Your feel your employees are satisfied form you (If you are an Employer)
Please share guys i would really like to know the views of the Forum...........

I have worked for forty five years in different countries, different workplaces, and I can tell it all depends on us. I do my job in all sincerity and work hard too. I seek cooperation but some are not team players. No one can be happy all the time and life has ups and downs - be it personal or work life.
The employer has a different take and he wants the best out of anyone and cannot be much concerned with much else as it is a competitive world. So it is give and take and not keeping job satisfaction at the back of our mind; it will happen when we have the right attitude and willing to take risks - siva

Hello There, I agree with you , Disatisfaction occurs majorly in an unhealthy work atmosphere, Even when you are getting paid handsomely and the work is according to your profile. I think there are many aspects which affect the work atmosphere, Like the colleagues and their behaviour with you and the way they treat you with respect to your work. I feel the same sometimes coz I live in mexico and my spanish is not so good but i'm working on it and my work gets affected a lot when it comes to spanish and it becomes more frustrating when other colleagues are not taking initiative to help you out with it.
Moreover, personal issues also affects at the same time , As when we are working and we keep thinking about personal issues, our work gets affected and performance and then no sooner we get to hear negative feedback from managers and then everything is on the way to be worst than ever.
