Why do vacuum cleaners have lights on the front?

I like that my vacume has a light on it, it helps when I am vacuming my hallway. With it having a light I don't have to go down the hall and flip the switch and then go back up and start vacuming.

Oh, I use discount vacuum cleaners like the ones at http://prishkerenterprises.com/ to hit monsters underneath the tables and desks. They are always surprised by the light.

THEY ARE ACTUALLY THERE SO YOU CAN SEE UNDER YOUR COUCH/BED ETC WHEN YOU ARE VACCUUMING, IT'S USUALLY DARK UNDER THERE.

Maybe so you can see under tables and in dark corners. I know it helps me!
