Spring Is Near

When I was driving to work this morning, I noticed that we have longer daylight now. Just last week around the same time in the morning, it was still dark out on my way to work. I am so ready for winter to be over and spring to begin. I do not relish the muddy grounds though that comes with the thaw. I also do not look forward to the time adjustment because that would mean I have to get up an hour earlier. I also do not like the prospect of mowing the yard once more. And while summer is a welcomed delight, I do not look forward to the heat waves that we experience every now and then during this season. I simply have low tolerance for heat and I have nose bleeds when it gets too hot for me outside.
Despite all the things I have mentioned that I can do away without come spring, I look forward to being able to go out more. I can’t wait to start firing up the grill again. I can’t wait for fishing and taking out the boat and jet ski to the lake. I also can’t wait to take out the bike and start riding again.

None of that stuff bothers me. I love summer and I can't wait for it to be here. I also can't wait for grilling and fishing and all that.
That really sucks that you get nose bleeds in the heat. That would make me not like the heat, in that case.

And that is why every summer, I try to come prepared: when we go out to fish, I make sure I have on cool clothes, light colored caps, plenty of bottled water, towels, sunscreen and even change of clothes just in case. Oh I also bring my hand-held battery operated fan but I broke it from overusing last year.
