I am talking about the Rebecca in the Bible, the wife of Isaac - Abraham's son.
Abraham had sent his servant to find a wife to his son Isaac, and the servant asked God to give him guidance.
"14 May it happen that the young woman to whom I say, ‘Please let down your water jar so that I may take a drink,’ and who replies, ‘Take a drink, and I will also water your camels,’ let this be the one you choose for your servant Isaac; and by this let me know that you have shown your loyal love to my master.”
Well now comes Rebecca - and God has obviously listened to the prayer:
"At once the servant ran to meet her and said: “Please give me a little sip of water from your jar.” 18 In turn she said: “Drink, my lord.” With that she quickly lowered her jar upon her hand and gave him a drink. 19 When she finished giving him a drink, she said: “I will also draw water for your camels until they are done drinking.” 20 So she quickly emptied her jar into the drinking trough and ran again and again to the well to draw water, and she kept drawing water for all his camels. "
Watering camels was hard work, so we learn that Rebecca was definitely not afraid of working hard.
What can we learn? The willingness of doing hard simple work is something that pleases God. Rebecca was also a wise woman, which the story shows.
Why not read it in Genesis beginning in chapter 24?
Would we be willing to do simple work, if that would make it possible to do something good to others?

Yes, many in the Bible are good examples for us. Some are Ruth, Sarah and Abigail and many more. Let's keep reading the Bible and learning..

Nice share. I like to do simple work and they soothe my mind and body. Helping others is the natural way in creation as when we ponder about nature we can see everything coexists and help each other for survival. I hope we never forget the basics of life - siva

As the Bible says, there is more happiness in giving than recieving. It feels good to do something positive for others!!

That is an amazing romance found in Genesis chapter 24. Isaac saw Jehovah's hand in the choice of Rebekah. He knew enough and what happened? Isaac, “fell in love with her, and . . . found comfort after the loss of his mother.” (Gen. 24:67) *** w14 8/15 p. 8 par. 10 What Is the Role of Women in Jehovah’s Purpose? ***

Yes, we need to read or listen to the Bible every day. I like to go to jw.org and listen while I do something else that doesn't need concentration. One can choose from hundreds of languages on the site.
