The wild bitter gourd is considered fruit of a vegetable. In the cordillera area in the Philippines, this gourd is the common menu in the local households. For sure, children would not even like to eat such due to its bitter taste. Though it is not the case for some menu, depending on how it was prepared with the help of simple condiments available. Some local people gathered the gourd in thin slices; add with garlic, onion and salt. After which, it is a simple sauté could do and ready to serve to the family, relatives or even friends.

A bitter gourd aka bitter melon is the last produce I will consider wild because it is one of the most mass produced vegetable in Asia but I am assuming you are talking about those little ones or the smaller ones being used for pakbet. The wildest fruit in The Philippines will be the Pandan fruit, You wont see it groceries as Pandan plants never reaches adulthood in the Philippines because we love harvesting the leaves.
