A report from CSNPhilly.com reporters Dave Zangaro and Reuben Frank reports the Philadelphia Eagles do not plan on current second string quarterback Mark Sanchez on their roster before the start of free agency in March.
Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howard Roseman would love to be able to sign current starting quarterback Sam Bradford to a new contract before the start of free agency or place the franchise tag on him so can be able to the starting quarterback of the Eagles in the 2016 football season.
If the Eagles decide to release Sanchez at the start of the free agency season, the main reason would be that Sanchez had a record of one win and five losses as the starting quarterback of the Eagles in his last six starts.
Sanchez would be paid $3.5 million dollars if the Eagles decide to keep him on their roster at the start of the free agency season.
If Bradford and Sanchez leave the team, the Eagles management would likely hire a free agent to replace them on their roster since Thad Lewis would be the only quarterback on the Eagles roster.
The other option the Eagles would have if Lewis is the only quarterback on the roster would be to draft a quarterback from the 2016 National Football League Draft and groom him to be the Eagles quarterback of the future.
Sanchez would likely land on his feet with another team in the National Football League since there are many football teams in the league that need a veteran quarterback like Sanchez on their roster before the start of the next football season.

Both with the Jets and Eagles, Sanchez demonstrated that he has already reached his ceiling as an NFL QB.

That is true. Mark's best days are behind him I am afraid.
