Earning While Staying Home

I know there are many of you that earn extra money online in various different ways. I use to be pretty good at adding in a few dollars here and there to supplement our family. Since I went to work and stopped messing with the computer very much things changed a lot. Most of the websites I use to use have since shut down or changed there policy making it very difficult and the population is pretty much vanished from those sites. Since I am staying home again and have medical bills that are going to completely wipe me out if I don't do something I am looking for any ideas I can get. I am awful at eBay; and I mean awful! I can never seem to figure out the shipping part and it always costs me dearly! I know some friends who are pretty successful on there I just have a difficult time. I do however try listing things on my local Facebook yard sale pages but the bites are hit and miss. I was thinking about doing thrift store flips. I have a ton of spare time until the baby gets here I am sure I can make an old piece of junk shine but my confidence is very low. I was just wondering if anyone had and ideas that work for them.

Since you're in the US, the best you can try is Swagbucks!

Congrats on your upcoming birth! I hope you find a good way to earn extra income. I am retired, and just do mylot, Mintvine, and Swagbucks for fun. I could never count on them to earn a living.

I am certainly not counting on them to earn a living. When I had my first son I did it just for a few extra hundred dollars a month. My husband makes more than enough to cover out living expenses I just like to feel like I am contributing somehow. Even if it is just for a weekend of events.

Selling books that you don't need any longer is a great way to generate some extra cash. If you have a craft you can utilize it to make some extra money. As long as it's in demand it will do well. Say for instance a seamstress. There's always someone who wants something taken in or hemmed.

I never thought about my old books. I usually take them straight over to the library and let them do whatever they want with them. It never even crossed my mind to sell them. Thanks!

I only use swagbucks it is the only online earner I focus on. Have you tried humanatic? It isn't a lot of money but if you like reviewing calls a few cents at a time it adds up and pays every Monday. I couldn't concentrate enough for it lol. As far as doing thrift store flips that sounds like fun! If you are confident you can do it I say go for it! Just be sure you know where and how you are going to market first.

The only way I would resale would be to use the yard sale pages in my home town. I see a few people selling homemade things or refurbished items and they seem to sell well. I also have not tried humanatic I will have to give it a shot. I use Swagbucks as well I earn mostly from coupons with them since I do a lot of couponing.

@krazykatlady Couponing takes a lot of time I am so addicted to it though. I am constantly hunting deals. And those are great earnings for the month I want to be able to pick it up and start adding a little here and there for our family. I have almost 5000 points on mypoints I count redeem to help out but I get so discouraged starting back at zero. I only have 150 points on swagbucks because I just redeemed some bass bro cards when they were on sale a few weeks ago. I haven't filed my taxes yet I never look forward to taxes because we get charged self-employment tax so I always wait until the last minute, literally! Last year we filed 2 days before our extension ended.

@farbuoloxusy I could never get into couponing no matter how hard I try but always been interested in it. I do whatever through the day videos, surveys offers until I reach the daily goal and then I get off. I do my cash back shopping on swagbucks too. I have a mypoints but it takes a lot more points there to cashout so I basically stick with swagbucks. I have gotten around $60 so far this month for cashback and got another $24 pending. But that doesn't happen a lot, holidays and refund time. Around here things like that sale well and quickly too best of luck!

I am fine blogging I just hope I don't run out of ideas. eBay is not a good idea for me because of my location.

It is nearly impossible to run out of idea's because every new day brings new events, new stories and new dreams.

Ebay is a bit complicated to use the shipping is not just a problem for you. The thrift store flip is one of my things too! Try craigslist also do yard sales. if you can try flea markets they may be able to give you a spot of cheap. Don't give up use social media to help you. Ask friends to help spread the word for you.

I thought about a booth at the flea market but our local one charges $80 a month and then a percentage of items sold on top of that and I think that seems kind of high for me. I would love to be able to do yard sales but we live in the country, not many people around my area for that. What are you favorite things to flip?

@OKennedy I have been doing some spring cleaning and have sold somethings on my local yard sale page last week. We made a few dollars which was nice but I would like to keep it coming. Also I am glad I am not the only one who thinks $80 for a small square is expensive.

@farbuoloxusy I agree $80 a month is a bit high. And living in the countryside makes it very difficult for people to come to a yard sale. I like to flip clothes mostly they tend to be an easy sell books are harder household stuff does pretty good too.

I'm using mintvine at the moment, its a survey site. I have made about $40 in 2 months on it, though I probably could spend more time on it and make more. If you like I could send you my referral link?

I am awful with Survey sites. I am on a few I just get bored really quick with Surveys. I know there are plenty of dollars floating around for your opinion though so maybe I should focus on it a little more than I do.
