Running is the most effective exercise i know that allows your entire body to work. Ive run a lot for the past 4 years despite of my problem with my Calves... my calves hurts a lot whenever i run more than 10kms.....i ve joined a lot of marathons too.The longest distance i have ran was 25km only.. Last year 2015 when i joined the Cebu City Marathon, i registered for 21k category. it was a disaster because right after the turning point my both my Calves were hurting too much i cant even walk.... the ambulance stopped right in front of me and offered me a ride but i didnt.. i just asked for a ointment for my hurting calves and so my Girlfriend who was running with me applied the ointment to my Calves. and we walked through out the Marathon.... or should i say walkathon..... thats the last marathon i joined... Now, its so sad coz im not interested in running anymore due to my calves problem. end of story

I am sorry. My brother is a marathon runner and parkourist and has been plagued with injuries for more than half of his 24 yrs . but it is difficult to deter him. The pain of not being able to run shows on his face when he is injured. So much so that the guy has inspired a lazyass like me to start running. I suggest you take ur injury seriously. Consult a sports injury specialist. Get cured. And don't give up running. Cheers !

Didn't you have it checked by the doctor as to what is causing it on the first place . Wasn't it remedied anymore after that ?

@Nicz31 Of course you are still useful and can do other lighter works , like online jobs . You see , some people can really earn online if they have the internet and a computer .

You shouldn't be pushing it if your calves hurt when you run... Maybe look for other exercises. Yoga helps a lot too...
