I am planning a trip to Europe

United States

This is going to be a big journey. My tentative plans are to take a Transatlantic cruise from Florida to Barcelona April 2017. Then, I do not know where I am going from Barcelona but eventually I will be flying back to the USA. I hope to travel a bit around Europe. Which airport would be the least expensive to fly out of and any recommendations on budget or cheap airlines? I have already been doing my own research and found a site called something like Skyliner that looks pretty good. All suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Where will you be sailing out of Florida from? I never knew there were cruise ships here in Florida that went anywhere else except the Caribbean!

@moffittjc There are what are called 're-positioning cruises', whereby ships that have spent the winter in the Caribbean re-locate to the Med for the summer. They are often cheaper than ordinary cruises because they don't usually make any ports of call, except maybe the Azores or Madeira.

@jaboUK Wow, I've lived here in Florida all my life, been on dozens of cruises, and yet never knew about this! Guess I learn something new everyday!

There are many cruises from Florida to places other than the Caribbean. I will be sailing from Port Canaveral on the Norwegian Epic.

I enjoyed Barcelona when I visited! Paris is a must see and London is really pretty too! How exciting! Enjoy planning your trip!

The cruise company would probably include your air fare home, even if you were to travel around Europe for a bit. It would be worth asking them.
