My husband and my son returned home before lunch and it was a great surprise why they came home too early.
I asked them, why so early? Are you finished? They replied, yes, we are. My son told me that surnames who are not common is a great privilege and I asked why? He answered to me, according to the NBI employees, surnames who are common are usually hit or surnames who are common to every place or surnames who are plenty in our country are usually hit. Oh, is that so? That is so unfair, he told me that according to the NBI employees, usually common surnames that has the same names and that particular common surname has criminal records to their file, so you're going to come back again for another 2 weeks so that they can clear up the applicant's name.
What if I get my NBI clearance and it happens that I have the same name and surname who has criminal records, then I can't get mine, I'm going to clear my name first, sigh, so sad to think.
If you're in the shoes of those whose name was hit, what do you feel and what will you do.

common surnames are usually surnames of families from long ago, that is why a family with the same surname as mine, are considered our own relatives.

@ida123 I think surnames originating from Spain or from foreign lands are considered "royal"? hehehe! I don't know, but families with the same as my father's family name are our kins.
