Hello folks its O'Kennedy here again. Today I want to discuss News but not media news. Nope I want to take about the news you don't hear much about on the television or anywhere else for that matter.
This little tid bit of information is more for those who are struggling financially and aren't exactly sure on where to turn for help. If you are a low income family there are programs out there to help.
Soup kitchens are one of those places that can help you. Soup kitchens provide donations of food sometimes clothing and even some household items and toiletries you may need. If they don't at the very least they can inform you of other programs that may be able to help you.
Salvation Army is a great place as well to get help for those who may have lost everything or are simply just starting out and don't have much money to get the things you need.
The American Red Cross is not only a place that helps people who have lost their homes to fires they also offer other services like financial aid and programs that may help you with things like Educational services.
1-800Charity Cars is one of many programs that help low income families to obtain a car for transportation. There are different ones out there some only are in one state others and others have multiple locations.
Life Line is a program that helps individuals who are low income and or disabled with communication. They offer free cellphones with minutes to make calls, unlimited text and web access. They also have home phone services that are extremely low in comparison to traditional phone companies. Obama phones are also an option to look into if you need a phone.
Food Pantries do more than offer food to those in need some of them offer or have access to information to other programs that may help with service and necessary basic needs Clothes,Shoes, etc.
If you need help you can find these places in a phone book which have 1800 numbers so that people in need can call for free. Don't be afraid or ashamed to ask for help they are there to help those in need. If you aren't in need of the services maybe you know someone who does.
Well folks that wraps it up for O'Kennedy News today. If you know of other organizations in your area share and if you just discovered one you didn't know about see if they are a fit for your needs.

I think many countries around the world have red cross. Most countries with a Christian population actually have a salvation army.

I use to volunteer on red cross on my teens but I can't anymore because I am very busy. I regret having tattoos because I can't donate blood for red cross because of it.

@BelleStarr I think the hardest part of it all is the being able to get hold of someone. Not knowing what time they are open aside from when mass is held.
