From the iPod #5 - "Shapes of Things"

Irish guitar hero Gary Moore is my all-time favorite guitarist. It's still hard to believe, but Moore (born 1952) died five years ago in Spain, of a heart attack. Gary Moore was a hard-rocking guitarist who enjoyed a lengthy career as both a metal god and a bluesman (and you might remember his tour's of duty in Thin Lizzy as well.) Regardless of style, Moore could shred with the best of them, and was deserving of more than the cult following he achieved here in the States. While a protest singer at heart (and the man wrote several great protest songs during his career,) one of Moore's highlights was his cover of The Yardbirds' classic "Shapes of Things," which he considerably rocked up to suit his at-the-time heavy style. While not as politically-relevant as, say, "Murder in the Skies" or "End of the World," "Shapes of Things" remains a Gary Moore favorite all these years later. Because my iPod has a live take on the tune, I've linked a live version below, which extends the song in order to allow Moore adequate time to display his considerable guitar skills:
