Take or grab?

I remember one time in college a couple of guys got into a discussion over whether it was “take a shower” or “grab a shower.” The grab guy stated that taking something meant you … took it with you, something you don’t do with a shower. But the take guy countered asking if you “take a [crude word for Number 2]” or do you “grab a [crude word for Number 2]?” I don’t think it was ever resolved.

I think when you say " ill grab a shower' it means its done in a hurry while if you "take a shower" i imagine it being a cool relaxing shower wherein youre just taking your time and enjoying it.
