Mob justice

Early today morning,an angry mob stoned to death five suspected robbers after they attempted to break into a shop. This is not the first incident of its kind to happen even as police term it criminal but people always claim they take matters in their own hands when the police fail to do their work. But I think even as the mob thinks that thieves are as good as dead, they ought to hand them to the police because there is no enough reason to end anyone's life.

I feel it is cruel but the authorities should step up in crime prevention -to prevent mob fury - siva

The police always discourage mob justice but then don't do enough to combat crime so that's why you find such unfortunate incidents. What's more such a mob can sometimes target innocent people.

If it helps to end this time of criminal activity than I say good for the mob.

A mob only needs one person to start may be throwing stones to a suspect and the others will surely follow suite. So I sometimes think one courageous person determines the actions of the mob.

there are police authorities so I think the people should not put justice in their hands

Sometimes its hard to control a mob with one mission;to contain a situation their own way which they think is best to deal with crime.

@waflay but when the suspect is already hurt and apprehended, then who will be held accountable for by those who hit him?
