I dont like traveling by sea

As I was on leave, my time to resume has come and I have to board on a ship to transport me to the place where my work is located. It has been raining hard and some gust of winds, I am about to go home tonight via a ship and I am not looking forward to it because I am sure that the sea would be rough and for a person who have seasickness then I will probably throw up half of the time. But I hope it doesnt happen. Even if I do drink some medicine for it , it doesnt seem to work . The irony is I love traveling but I just dont like this mode of transportation on not a clear day. Do you the same problem as me, what do you usually do? Im dying to learn some new tips to help me on my journey tonight. I am really worried.

Either by sea, by air or by land is risky when it's bad weather. So I would say I DON'T LIKE TRAVELING WHEN IT'S BAD WEATHER :-D

I do understand the fear. I mean Iv'e watch news about boats sinking simply because of strong storms, waves or winds that topples them with out hesitation.remember to pray when ever your on a boat journey, Im sure it would help.

Thank you, actually the fear isnt because of the boat sinking , its more of the physical discomfort that it will give me the entrie 11 hours of journey.

Well for years when I travel on a rainy weather, I always think of the worst so I could prepare for it. Like having my medication, some candies , some plastic , water. I would like have a light meal or nothing at all to prevent myself from throwing up. ??this life.

I have only been out fishing in calm seas and even there some got quite sick but I did not. Have you done an internet search about it?

Its bad , it will drain your life energy. I always thought I wouldnt be able to reach the next port alive. I am doing some research now, but i wanted to get some consensus on what really works.

Its not safe to travel if the weather is bad but i guess you don't have a choice. what i did before when i went riding on a boat is while travelling i put on my earphones, played a nice calming song. then concentrate on it and closed my eyes. i imagine when i was a baby while my mama's putting me to sleep.i know it sounds ridiculous but its effective for me.i haven't notice the sound of the waves and i lost track of time realizing i already arrived at my destination.
