A report from Baltimore Sun reporter Jeff Zrebiec said on Saturday the management of the Ravens are working to restructure the current salary of their quarterback Joe Flacco before the start of free agency of March 9, 2016. Flacco is current paid a salary of $28.55 million dollars for the 2016 football season. The Ravens management wants Flacco to accept a contract extension with a lower salary sp they can hire players from the free agent market to improve their chances of making a playoff run in 2016. Flacco signed a six year, $120.6 million dollar contract on March 1, 2013. He can become a free agent at the end of the 2018 football season. The Ravens management is currently in Indianapolis Indiana for the National Football League Combine this week. They are confident that will be able to reach an agreement with Flacco to restructure his contract before the start of free agency.

Thanks for being of service once again. I was able to use this to explain restructuring to my Ravens fan girlfriend. She's getting pretty good at understanding the game itself, but not the business side.
