If I am rich enough to quit my job

If I am rich enough to quit working forever, I will definitely quit my current job.
My current job is completely desk bound.
The only exercises come from walking to the pantry to get water to drink, and then going to the toilet.
I have to look at the computer screen the whole day.
There is not much fun in life when you spend more than 8 hours staring at the computer.
If I am rich enough to quit my job, I would get a lesser paid job that will bring much happiness to me.
The problem is that I see no way to get rich quick.
Writing online does help to bring in some money, but that does not allow me to quit working for others.
I admire those who have the ability to make money so quickly that they can work at a job that they like.
What would you do when you get rich?

@scheng1 This is base on a true story, since I turned 18 I always use the same 6 numbers at lottery. One day my friend told me to give up on my numbers and use a different set of number. I follow that friend's advice....The moment I changed numbers my 6 numbers were the results of the draw. #biggestregret

I understand your feelings. When I graduated and started to work, I felt bad since I went to work in the morning and it was sunny outside. However, I went off work at night and it was dark outside. It is suffering since I spent my best time inside the office only. I hope to be rich so that I can do whatever I like as I have so many interests. But money never come easy and besides working hard, you also need some good luck and especially patience.

I have always believed in adjusting to situations that cannot be changed or change them if I can. Life is short. The art of looking at what is positive is what keeps one happy. Hope you will get there.

True, there are always positives in life.
Recently, one colleague ends up in hospital, and guess what, the rest of the team envies her for getting away at such a busy time at work.
The rest of the team has to put in extra hours, and no extra pay while she rests peacefully in the hospital.
Until now the doctor has not found out the cause of her health problem, though he has hinted that it has to do with a weak heart.
I guess that she can think positive too.
If she has to work such late hours, her weak heart will kill her!

@scheng1 I suppose you are aware of the butterfly effect. Everythikng has a reason. If there were no sick people there would be no hospitals, nurses, doctors

It is definitely good to travel once or twice a year.
The only hassle is the packing and unpacking, and all the washing after the trip.
The reward is the happiness that comes from experiencing new things, and the experience of having your friends or family to share the moment with you.

If I'm rich I will not quit my job because I love working. Instead of getting a huge house which is hard to clean or expensive cars and other extravagant stuff, I would put my money into good causes like health or education. I feel that my life would be meaningful if I can help others who deserve help.

I have met with many people who are working part time, and doing volunteering work.
One such person volunteers in the hospital once a week.
She brings those old people to the specialist clinic.
I do think that is a more meaningful work than my job.

That is good. If you are happy with your job, and you are really helping people, then I do not see a reason to quit.
I think those doctors, nurses and police fall into this category.
They really help a lot of people in the course of their working lives.

I would distribute to my family.
The money is not important for me, If I were rich and my family don't have to eat, I wouldn't be happy, I prefer to give it to my family, because a fast car or a big house don't make me happy. In fact I'm considerating leaving this society in the future and go to the mountain or somewhere similar.
Have you ever heard about Mattnieu Ricard?, He donated all the money he had earn from their books and he went to live far away to the society. And he is considered the happiest person in the world, according to some studies about the behavior of his brain to bad stimulus.
I can say that be quiet is beter than have all the money of the world.

I will set up a trust if I have a large sum of money on hand.
I will make sure that the descendants get a regularly payout so that the money can keep them alive for more than a generation.
I will not want anyone to get too much money, because that will encourage laziness, but the payout will be enough to keep them alive if they cannot work or they want to stay home and take care of children.
