I Just Ignored a Classmate

It was very tiring afternoon because I had to do my laundry, not much but I was late doing it ended just this evening. After I rest, took a bath, dressed and went to the lottery to place a bet. I do this every day with one set of numbers only. Then as I hurried myself home, I noticed some one familiar. It was my classmate from college, but I ignored her and went on my way. We weren't really close but her husband surprisingly a classmate of mine back when I was just younger. Anyways, the last time she and her friends went to our house was when we had this english project. We offered them hospitality and mom prepared food, but they laughed at it thinking that it's like a children's birthday party. Sometimes they would come around but won't enter the house. When I told my brother about this, he mentioned that they don't respect our home which is why they acted that way. Though a few years I did exchange greetings some where in the neighborhood, but this time I wasn't in the mood. Though I felt guilty about it, I was not close to them anyways. I know it's a lost opportunity to catch up but I got nothing else to them.

I sometimes don't like catching up with old friends now that are acquaintances so I continue on my way too.

Just ignore what happened before, be friendly and smile always so that when she remembers the happening before, she might not do it again. There's a saying, no man is an island, no man stands alone and besides, if you smile always, you won't look old, you look young and free from wrinkles, a simple advise from a friend.

There was no harm done anyways, I mean she did remove me from her friendslist so that's that. @ida123 I know that saying, which is why I prefer my family instead. I do smile sometimes just to keep my face from looking too old you know i think about it, not really worth anyway.

I must admit it's sad despite that she and the other classmate isn't far away to begin with, but we have no connection or things to talk about. I don't see them inviting me for their events and all. it's so happened we have different circle of friends and mine have circle of their own. @Lucky15
