I was sad when I learned that people were not submitting original articles at Bubblews

I was a featured writer at Bubblews. Then one day I found out another user had copied my article and put his name down as the writer. I had him booted off the site but had I not noticed this, I would have been very unhappy. I had over 300 likes from one article and it was fun to write it. But never realized that site I used to know and love at one time, back in the day, had so many plagiarizers and spammers that the site's big bubble just went pop!

I wasn't in any kind of competition with others there. But when I got featured it also meant I would get more likes thus, a little more pay.

Part of the problem was that Bubblews didn't seem to care. I often reported plagiarised content when I saw it. Sometimes it was deleted, but other times it was still there weeks later. Strangely my only knowledge of having one of my own posts plagiarised was when I wrote a post about a plagiariser and he thought it would be a good joke to republish that post, accusing himself. Thankfully Bubblews did delete that one.

@lookatdesktop That sounds like an interesting idea. I don't have the technical knowledge to know whether something like that can be done.

yeah, how hard is it to write your own stuff? seriously. i think i saw someone plagiarize me once or twice, usually on featured posts.

There were some there who were almost perfect at being able to spot a copy cat writer on the spot.

I do hope there isn't any of those copycats here. It really ruins the experience
