As Einstein said the time is relative, It depends on how fast and big is the matter. But I'm not going to talk about science. What I want to say is that the time is not something exact like 2 plus 2 (Although according to quantum physics neither it isn't always four), It depends on other things. The age it's simply a number that depends on a reference system created by the humans, which tries to describe how much time we've lived. So you only will be too old if you considerated it and you haven't to talk about how old are you as if it was a deadline for you to do something. I say that for a thing that surprises me and for most of you surely it seems normal. Since I started here in MyLot I've seen a lot of people over 65 years old I couldn't help surprising me. And the reason for this is that in Spain you wouldn't almost find one who know how to switch on the computer or use it. Also there is only a little percentage of these people who have a mobile phone. I think it's because Spain have always been delayed with the technology and the old people has very closed minds for the dictatorship they had lived and someones a civil war too. But returning with the old people in myLot, I have to say that I love they are here. It's a pleasure that we can share our opinions from different cultures and generations and this is too interesting. Also these people are so much simpatic. I'd like my grandmother don't think that Internet it's only awful and my mother learn how to use the computer too. I hope you don't leave MyLot never!!

I think it has to do with the government in your country too. If they pay the senior citizens to learn new technology, I bet many of them will learn. Over here, the government has different schemes to help us upgrade our skills or learn new skills.

It could be a great idea, but now the goverment is making reductions in education and health, so it wouldn't be posible. The seniors don't like the tecnologies, they desprise it.

I've always thought when I am old I continue doing a lot of things, but here the too old people seems that don't want to do nothing for always. Obviusly there are exceptions.

@checky99 I did not know that oldies in Spain is quite backward when it comes to technology. In the Philippines most of the old people are not also exposed to this technology as well. Well maybe the upcoming oldies will be, like me I am a year to becoming a senior citizen and very much adept to this technology.

@salonga It's not for being polite but you're still quite young. I supose the next will have an open mind more, and it is fun for the grandsons.

1) don't call us "old", try saying "senior" or "mature". 2) you are right, I read an article that said a surprisingly large percentage of Americans spent the first 20 to 50 years of their lives without a computer. And add to that laptops, tablets, IPods and cell phones. The conclusion was some adjusted because of education or natural abilities. Others adapted because of employment or business demands. And some people just don't, won't or can't embrace technology.
